The voting guidelines of ethos Foundation are to be found in a 50 page document which is a first in Switzerland. It presents, in a precise manner, the reasons underlying the voting positions for each subject most commonly presented on the agenda of a General Shareholders' Meeting, such as the election of board members, the adoption remuneration plans , the modification of capital structure, mergers/acquisitions etc.
Special attention is given to the corporate governance codes of best practice prevailing throughout the world. For example, in the framework of the election of the board of directors, the notion of administrator independence takes on particular importance.
