Kaspar Müller, chairman of Ethos Foundation and Ethos Services has announced that he will not stand for re-election at the 2015 annual general meeting. Kaspar Müller has been a member of Ethos Foundation's board since its inception in 1997 and its chairman since 2007. Kaspar Müller says “I am very pleased that the Foundation has reached a stage that allows the implementation of a long term succession plan of its board”.
In order to ensure continuity in the strategic planning of Ethos, the board of trustees of the Foundation and the board of directors of Ethos Services have decided to nominate Dominique Biedermann, Ethos' executive director, as their joint new chairman at the 2015 AGM. At this date, Dominique Biedermann will retire from his executive position to take on his new duties.
The two boards have now 18 months in order to identify and nominate a new executive director for Ethos. This time frame is sufficient to ensure that the changes in Ethos' management will maintain the pioneering orientation of the Foundation with regard to socially responsible investment and active share ownership.
